Not only in fashion, but also in TV, the 90s have officially caught up with us. The people behind MTV realized that cashing in on some cult classic 90s shows, such as Beavis and Butthead by bringing them back to our boob tube screens would be more than just lucrative.
Beavis and Butthead, created by American animator, film director and voice actor Mike Judge was first introduced to our young brains back in 1993, the year Bill Clinton became the 42nd president of the U S of A, Jurassic Park was a hit, Nirvana's In Utero came out & grunge/alternative rock was blowing our minds. Beavis, the great Cornholio and Butthead who's sentence always started with the ringing tone "uhhhh". YES, brings back the memories of our parents scratching their heads as to why this show ever became popular and us scratching our heads as to why they ever cancelled the show in 1997, because literally, we grew up to these unusual shows and loved the characters they portrayed.

On October 27th 2011, the show has been remastered, revived and better than ever. The other day as Butthead imitated a girl from the show Teen Mom, also on MTV, I couldn't keep myself from giggling like I was 8 years old all over again ( I believe I started watching B&B at that age). Its the 90s now making fun of our popular shows of the 2000s. Couldn't have it any other way.
All they need to do now, is bring back another oldie but goodie, Daria. Sigh.
And adding to the 90s flare, I decided to do a little updo' a la Gwen Stefani meets the Spice Girls..

Yesssssssss I am all about Beavis & Butthead, couldn't be happier that they brought it back! What they gotta do is have Daria in their school again. The new episodes are kickin ass so far :) Love your 90's look!

ReplyDeleteOh my god. My dad loved Beavis and Butthead and I'm actually excited to watch it. I've been meaning to watch Daria for a while, too, but, I've never gotten around to it! That bag is gorgeous and I hope you win. I liked the photo and left a creepy commment...
