Vroom Vroom Fashion

The other day at my hair lady where I sat through the process of becoming a true blonde once again, I was contently flicking through a recent Vogue magazine where, as part of the Lexus Fashion Workshop, the car brand Lexus challenged four fashion designers to create wearable pieces using materials from a dismantled Lexus CT hybrid.

Recycling parts from a Lexus car, jewelry creator Eddie Borgo uses valve filters and crank bearings for his collection, clothing designer John Patrick created a trench coat, matching shorts and a hand clutch from floor mats and leather seat covers. Finally, the designer Alejandro Ingelmo used armrest leather trim to create his "Luna Shoe".

  2. I do my best to keep my blog a hobby. It can be frustrating at times, but I ultimately realize that its supposed to be fun! Ahhh! Thank you for showing me those photos! That bracelet is wicked. I'd never have guessed they were car parts. I am currently scoffing at you over the internet. That kimono is the crazy coolest thing ever. All of the different textures are incredible. I'm also diggin' the hat! I too am obsessed with hats. Your hair is lovely! It is just perfect with your fair skin and dark lipstick. Keep on rockin' in the free world gurl!!!

  3. I really like your message at the beginning of your post. I think a lot of times bloggers try to compete or "out-do" one another in terms of trends, without realizing that blogging is supposed to be something fun and inspiring.
As for your outfit, I am absolutely in love! Everything is so awesome, especially your kimono. I also own that same hat and I think you totally work it!
