A little DIY and some purplish hair

Today I was quite the busy bee. I dyed my tips a dark lavender with this semi permanent dye from Walgreens called Splat, went to the gym, got my nails done and made a little DIY tutorial on fringe tee's..

So, first up, I chose this vintage tee I bought at the Wasteland, its too long for me so I thought it appropriate to choose this old thing to try my first DIY with. I then got out my scissors.

DIY2

I start to cut around 1 inch wide strips up to where the lettering starts, because thats how short I want to go.

DIY3

Then I realize that my scissors aren't sharp enough making the edges jagged, so I get out my cutter. I bought mine at an art supply store.

DIY4

After Im finished cutting the strips, I then take each one and gently tug on it, making them thinner.

DIY9

I then proceed to cut off the ends because I don't like their thick square appearance so much.

DIY8

Finally I add a few knots to some of the fringes just for a little irregularity.

DIY6

There you go !

Herewith my outfit for today :

  8. I've seen lots of people wearing fringed tees like that and it's been eating away at my brain... now I'm definitely going to have to find an old shirt to try it with.
